It appears that if you use a smiley and then go back and edit, it gets screwed up somehow. It seems to work if you just use the smiley, then submit and not go back and edit.

If you edit, you might try removing the smiley and adding it again when you submit.

Times I wish I knew more about the web programming aspect than I do.

Well, looks like the spammers won this round. In trying to get rid of the 200 spam news posts, I ended up nuking the site.

Back to ground zero. Hopefully I'll get it back to where it was. Only downside all the previous posts are gone.
